Krabi province is well known for its wonderful beaches and variety of magnificent islands. No doubt the islands and beaches draw most of the tourists to the area, however, there are some attractive inland sites worth visiting too the Emerald Pool Krabi (Sa Morakot).

Emerald Pool or pond is not a hot spring, but it is cool water that is just heavenly to swim in. The water is replenished by natural streams running into the pool from freshwater sources on the limestone hill above.

Emerald poolis a bluish green pond that filled with clear water which comes from a warm stream which is about 30–50° Celsius. The Emerald pool is surrounded by a forest andit’s located some 800m away from car park. There are two routes to walk from car park to the pool,the first route is the shortcut path which is about 800m and can walk straight to the pool.The other route is the nature trail route, it’s about 1400m, this route is wood bridge route it is surrounded by the forest until the pool.

Hot Spring Waterfall The hot springs and cool streams converge on a slope to form lovely cascades of warm water with a temperature of 40-50° Celsius. The best time to visit is between 7:00am-8.00am and from 4:00pm-5:00pm. To reach the waterfall visitors should travel 45km from town to Amphoe Khlong Thom, then take Sukhaphiban 2 Road for another 12km. The admission fee is 10 baht per person.

A visit to Krabi natural hot spring is a must. There are many hollowed-out 'bathtubs' which are caused by the running water from the thermal springs.You can relax in one of the many natural hollows in the creek and watch the water gently cascade into the cool pools. Enjoy your own natural "hot-tub jacuzzi" filled with running spring water at a pleasant 35-40°Celcius.

The Tiger Cave Temple ,Or wat tham suea, The foundation of the temple dates back to 1975 (B.E. 2518) when a Vipassana monk named JumneanSeelasettho (AjahnJumnean) went to meditate in the cave. During his meditation, he witnessed tigers roaming around the cave.

This discovery led to naming the temple Wat ThamSuea. Another legend says that an actual huge tiger used to live and roam the cave.The naming of the temple also comes to discoveries of a tiger paw prints on the cave walls, and also the bulge of the cave resembling a tiger's paw.

It is one of the more interesting temple complexes in southern Thailand, as the monks live and worship within a maze of natural caves in an overgrown jungle valley.

Wat ThamSua teaches a form of Buddhism called Vipassana (insight meditation), which is based on the teachings of the earliest Buddhist texts. In the main temple cave you will find bizarre photos of internal organs and split cadavers, which are supposed to reinforce the temporary nature of the body and help the monks to focus on more spiritual matters.

The main tourist attraction in the temple complex is the 1,272 step climb up a limestone tower to see the "footprint of the Buddha".
