Lakeview Vientiane Golf Club

Lakeview Vientiane Golf Club is a modern resort course located within Vientiane City. Designers have used clever mounding and earthworks to transform a flat field into an exciting and challenging golf course.

Now a series of human-made lakes frame each hole. The undulated greens are surrounded by steep bunker complexes to ward off approaching shots and keep scores above par. Lakeview Vientiane is well maintained and uses the latest in Paspalum grass to keep playing surfaces constant throughout the year.

Lao Country Club

The Lao Country Club is kept in good shape thanks to the significant amount of refurbishment that it underwent in 2014. A good job has indeed been done. Previously referred to as the Youth Garden Golf Course, the Lao Country Club was upgraded to an impressive resort that meets even the highest of standards. It is among the oldest golf properties Laos boasts of ever having had.

Fairways undulate gently, with level lies mostly that render it easy to walk on. It boasts of an impressive 35’ elevation change, in between the highest and lowest property ground. Water is everywhere on this course and creates a distraction if not careful. A hint of how the day will end easily comes at the first hole. Decorative water envelopes tee boxes on both left and right sides as water run nearly the full 349 yards from back tee to just shy of the green. At the final 75 yards to the green, there is lateral water to the right, so be keen not to get wet. This introduction is strategic since it is characteristic how the rest of the course design. Specific teeing grounds do have front water pools, though this is more of a psychological and cosmetic than strategic barrier as the distance of carrying hazards is rather modest.

Long Vien Golf Club

Long Vien Golf Course is the first 27-hole course in Laos. The original 18 opened in 2012 and the second 18 in 2016. The Laos golf course located in a special duty-free zone 16 kilometers outside Vientiane and 1 kilometer from the Mekong River which separates Thailand and Laos.

The Vientiane Golf Course is laid out on basically flat topography. Humanmade mounding, water features, intricate sharp-lipped bunker complexes provide the main challenges. Mature trees, flowering plants, and red-grass water areas from most of the holes. The all Paspalum grassed course ensures good playing conditions year round. At 7,538 yards from back tees, Long Vien plays a plays very long par-72.

Luang Prabang Golf Club

The Luang Prabang Golf Club lies six kilometers to the west of the town center along Mekong River. It is surrounded by tropical mountains which are forested. Right from inception through construction and operation, the project has maintained an eco-friendly policy in every possible aspect.

Luang Prabang, just like most other classic venues, takes visitors and players on a memorable journey. No parallel fairways exist, and golfers truly enjoy a sense of expedition while playing out on the front nine, a bit distant from the river. It is picturesque at par 72 and measuring 7,443 yards right from tips.

SEA Games Golf Club

Twenty-seven holes of golf lay in waiting for clients to the lovely course reserved for the main Vientiane, Laos’s twenty-fifth Southeast Asian Games. The course is located about 10 miles northeast of the city and, therefore, a spectacular escape from the urban bustles. The area is ideal for a getaway because of the surrounding Lao woodlands’ pastoral flora and fauna.

When on this golf course, you will enjoy the water surrounding some of the holes in the chairmanship layout. However, these are not common hazardous garden waters. They are indeed very expansive. Luckily, they add to the view than simple short-making. Because they are agile, you should not cross them to avoid unexpected hooks or even slides to stay dry. One of the most massive water bodies is over 1,000 yards in length and surrounded by seven holes that lay between courses B and C. 7 of the water bodies on the Lao Woodland define the tangential playing section for eighteen of the 27 holes in the golf course.
