| Sitting on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Vattanac Golf Resort includes two contrasting Nick Faldo designed 18-hole golf courses located 15 kilometers from the center of Cambodia’s capital. The East Course is publicly accessible, while the West Course is a private members layout. The par-72 East Course plays to over 7,400 yards and through scale models of pre-Angkorean structures including Preah Vihear Temple, Bayon Temple, and Angkor Wat. The design makes a unique combination of culture, leisure, and golf. Teeing areas provide for good views over the surrounding countryside and from the high points on the course. Vattanac is grassed with the latest Paspalum variety which ensures good golf conditions. Water comes into play on most holes, and the lack of elevation change is more than made up for in mounding, bunker complexes, and extensive landscaping. |
