Alpine Golf & Sports Club

Alpine Golf & Sports Club is one of Thailand's top-rated courses, and one of the best in Asia. The layout created by one of America's leading golf course architects, Ronald Garl, was the venue for the 2000 Johnnie Walker Classic PGA tournament won by Tiger Woods and again hosted the same event in 2004.

Ayutthaya Golf Club

Ayutthaya Golf Club located in Ayutthaya Province is around 1:30 from Bangkok center. The locally designed and well-maintained course is relatively easy to play with generous fairways and large greens. Outside the playing area is short rough in which balls sit up nicely. The 13th hole is a long 495 yard par-4 and the most challenging on the course. Care should be taken to avoid the water hazard on the left side. The second shot is a long carry to a well-guarded green.

Bangkok Golf Club

Bangkok Golf Club is located only 35 minutes from the center of town and is one of a handful of golf courses in the area and built in the 1990s. The club was the site for numerous professional events including the Asian Tour's Volvo Masters in 2003. The golf course, however, succumbed to massive flooding in 2011 which required all greens to be re-built and many of the older tees to be cut down. As a result, a friendlier course re-emerged in 2012. Nowadays the golf course is managed by an experienced team and conditions are top-notch.

Bangpakong Riverside Country Club

Bangpakong Riverside Country Club along the Bangpakong River establishes itself nearly halfway between Bangkok and Pattaya and is well-suited togolfers travelling from the airport of between the two destinations. Once voted one of Asia's most famous and one of Thailand's best golf courses, the Bangpakong layout today is well-maintained. The course should not be confused with it's similarly named neighbor, Royal Lakeside, which is also popular with local golfers.

Bangpoo Golf & Sports Club

Bangpoo Golf & Sports Club is one of only a few Arnold Palmer creations in Asia and the only one in Thailand. The course setting near the Gulf of Thailand consists of rolling terrain, mature trees, and large amounts of natural flowers. The seaside location provides a nice breeze to keep golfers cool even during the hottest of months. Tricky wind conditions, especially in the afternoons when the sea breezes are at their strongest, frequently come into play.

Bangsai Country Club

55 kilometers or about 80 minutes north of downtown Bangkok is Bangsai Country Club. A challenging gem of a golf course Bangsai Country Club is set among the rice paddies and small villages of rural Ayutthaya Province. However,

Bangkok golfers should not be fooled by the agricultural setting as the course design is challenging and the golf is first-rate.

Best Ocean Golf Club

Taking 45 minutes from downtown Bangkok the Schmidt and Curley designed Best Ocean Golf Club promotes itself as the most challenging golf course in Bangkok. The course is near the ocean, so sea breezes lend themselves to nice playing conditions. The links-style course is in fact quite scary and certainly not one for beginning golfers or any golfer having a bad day. From the tips the 7200 yard Bangkok golf course is nearly impossible, save for the most accomplished players. Many of the holes have water on both sides of the fairway, and the sea breeze only helps errant shots find trouble.

Cascata Golf Club

Cascata Golf Club is a relative newcomer to Bangkok's seemingly endless supply of excellent quality golf courses. Opened in 2006 and predominantly designed by its owner; the original A and B Courses at Cascata incorporate many open fairways, creating a Scottish links-style experience. Cascata is kept in excellent condition and is an exciting challenge with generous fairways and some of Bangkok’s best greens.

Flora Ville Golf & Country Club

Flora Ville Golf & Country Club, opened in 1998 under the name Chuan Cheun, is one of only a handful of Nick Faldo designed courses in Bangkok. The course located to the North of Bangkok in Pathum Thani province plays inside a large housing estate. Large stately trees, open marsh areas, and rich wildlife add to the natural golf experience.

Green Valley Country Club

Green Valley Country Club is one the oldest courses on the way from Bangkok to Pattaya. It is one of three Trent Jones Jr courses in Bangkok, the others being the Navatanee Golf Course and Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club. Being close to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Green Valley is convenient for those Bangkok golfers who want to get in an extra round on their day of arrival or departure.

Kiarti Thanee Country Club

A favorite of local Japanese, Kiarti Thanee Country Club is ideal for higher handicappers and newer golfers. The location off the elevated highway makes Kiarti Thanee easily accessible for those staying in central Bangkok and/or on their way to/from the Bangkok airport.

Krung Kavee Golf Course & Country Club

Krung Kavee is a well-maintained course located close to the Don Muang airport in a large private housing estate. The course was designed by Manabu Sakamoto who has also created over 40 championship golf courses all over the world. However, unlike many of the other Japanese course architects, Mr. Sakamoto goes for long golf courses.

Krungthep Kreetha Sports Club

Krungthep Kreetha is of the older courses near Bangkok city center and features an attractive layout with big and mature trees. The course was opened long before the Thailand golf boom, and among locals, it is one of the best-known courses in Bangkok.

Lakewood Country Club

Lakewood Golf Club is a decent course near to Bangkok city center. The Lakewood golf course comprises of vast green space and a luxurious housing estate. Although the golf course is relatively flat, the surrounding landscaping features more than 45 species of plants and more than 2,000 trees.

Lakewood Links

Lakewood Links is the second course by the same owner in the Bang Na area of Bangkok. The course is one of the closest layouts to downtown Bangkok and is easily reached in 30 minutes by elevated expressway. True to its name, the 18-hole, 7017-yard layout spreads over flat links land interspersed with sandy waste areas dunes and water. Add to this elevated tees, rolling fairways, and large undulating and multi-tiered putting surfaces, and you have challenging after challenging hole. Water comes into play on 16 holes and with many narrow fairways and elevated greens; low markers only best play Lakewood Links. High handicappers are better off playing the more straightforward sister course at Lakewood Golf & Country Club.

Lam Luk Ka Country Club

Lam Luk Ka Country Club offers an excellent 36-hole golf facility north of Bangkok. The two 18-hole courses at Lam Luk Ka are generally underutilized, so tee times are more accessible to book and green fees are lower than most other Bangkok golf courses.

Legacy Golf Club

The Legacy Golf Club is the only Jack Nicklaus course in Bangkok. It was formerly known as Ramintra Natural Park Golf Club and part of the large Natural Park group. Before Legacy Golf Club was taken over by the Natural Group, it ran independently under the name Winsan Golf Club. The golf club is located next to Safari World and is a very easy 40-minute drive from the city center of Bangkok.

Lotus Valley Golf Resort

It takes a little over one hour to reach Lotus Valley Golf Resort from Bangkok or 45 minutes from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Formerly the World Trade Golf and Sports Club, Lotus Valley Golf Resort is one of only a handful of Gary Player designed golf courses in Asia and the only Gary Player course in Thailand.

Muang Kaew Golf Club

Muang Kew Golf Club is one of the more popular and closet to town Bangkok golf courses. The excellent location near to central Bangkok and the new Bangkok airport makes Muang Kaew a perfect choice for golfers wanting to play, but who are short on time. Redesigned by Schmidt -Curley, Muang Kaew has Tiff Eagle turf greens and Paspalum grass

Navatanee Golf Course

In 1975, the selection of Navatanee by the International Golf Federation to be the host venue for the 23rd World Cup of Golf was the most fitting accolade and spurred the Thailand golf revolution. The event won by the US team represented by Johnny Miller, at the peak of his game, and Lou Graham. Navatanee also hosted the Thailand Open in 1999. In the same year, Navatanee was ranked the top course in Thailand by Golf Digest USA.

Nikanti Golf Club

Nikanti Golf Club is a one-of-a-kind unique 18-hole track, situated in Nakhon Pathom province west of Bangkok. The work of Thai golf course designer and architect Piraporn Namatra of Golf East, Nikanti is revolutionary in more ways than one.

Panya Indra Golf Club

The 27-hole Panya Indra Golf Club designed by Ronald Fream & David Dale of the USA opened in 1991. The golf course is just off the Outer Ring Road, which makes for short travel times from Bangkok city center and is usually reachable in 30 minutes or less from most hotels.

Pinehurst Golf & Country Club

Pinehurst consists of three nine-hole loops each with theoretically different styles. The North Lake Course is similar to many American municipal golf courses. The South Greenfield nine is very smooth and flat. The West Forest course is the most challenging of the three nines with water hazards and mounds off the sides of the fairways, albeit without any forests.

Rachakram Golf Club

Opened in 2006 and located 1:30 from Bangkok, Rachakram Golf Club offers excellent value-for-money. The Bangkok course design by famous Thai golf architect Sukitt Klangvisai (Phuket Country Club) offers a tremendous variety of memorable holes.

Riverdale Golf Club

Riverdale Golf Club is one of a few excellent Bangkok golf courses. Jonathan Morrow and Al Tikkanen designed and like Red Mountain, their other high-profile Phuket golf course, Riverdale makes good use of intelligent routing and elevation changes. Riverdale may not at first glance look the most menacing test of golf. However, its all an illusion.

Rose Garden Golf Club

The Rose Garden Golf Club is one of the oldest and well-known golf courses in Thailand. This Thai-owned and managed golf course hosted the 1992 Thailand Open. Shortly after that, it was voted by two international golf magazines as among the best layouts in the world.

Royal Bang Pa-In Golf Club

Royal Bang Pa-In Golf Club located north of Bangkok, in Ayutthaya Province is in the heart of Bangkok's new golf epicenter. The 7,052-yard Schmidt-Curley designed track is unusual as it managed like a country club member's course.

Royal Golf & Country Club

The Royal Golf & Country Club is the closest 18-hole standard golf course to the Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International airport as its location off Bangkok to Pattaya highway around 30 minutes from the main tourist and commercial areas of Bangkok or 5 minutes from the airport.

Royal Lakeside Golf Club

Opening in 1993 and renovated in 2011, the Royal Lakeside Golf Club located at the mouth of the Bangpakong River features beautiful surroundings, with a profusion of shrubs and flowers. Some holes play right along the Bangpakong river bank, while others feature a wide lagoon, which encircles the course. The lagoon provides a useful buffer zone, protecting the villas on its opposite bank from any wayward shots.

Subhapruek Golf Club

When Pete Dye designed this golf course, it was known as the Bangna Country Club, but is now called Subhapruek Golf Club. The course location is very natural, with only the tall white tower, golden domes and spires of the nearby Assumption University visible above the tree-lined perimeter.

Summit Windmill Golf Club

Summit Windmill although not overly long at 6964 yards more than makes up for the distance as it is one of the more contrived Bangkok golf courses. Despite its fake attributes, it attracts hoards due to a convenient location; just 30 minutes from Bangkok. Although in the city suburbs, the surroundings are also pleasant and park-like. Plenty of wildlife including birds and reptiles share the course with golfers.

Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club

Suvarnabhumi Golf & Country Club (ex. President Country Club) offer 36 holes of Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed golf in an unspoiled rural setting. Extending beyond the course in virtually all directions is a picturesque landscape of flat paddy fields and open marshland, full of tall reeds and grasses, migratory birds, and many fish. Each hole was designed to be distinct in approach from all the others.

Suwan Golf & Country Club

Suwan Golf & Country Club is in the countryside west of Bangkok among rural villages that add to the course’s uniqueness. Surrounding fruit orchards, rice fields, palm trees, and lotus ponds make Suwan Golf have a tropical-Thai character which is most appreciated by both golf professionals and golf holidaymakers alike.

Thai Country Club

Thai Country Club is a Peninsula Hotels managed prestigious member's course. One of the best golf courses in Bangkok, Thai sets the standard for service excellence. Designed to USPGA standards by Denis Griffiths, the course opened in December 1996. The design adapts to everyday member use up to very tough challenges for major international and PGA tournaments.

Thana City Country Club

Thana City is Thailand's only Greg Norman-designed golf course and is close to Bangkok center. The 6,966-yard par-72 course shares the land with one of Bangkok’s most significant condominium projects and abuts Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. Jet planes swoop overhead seeming as if they are landing on a fairway; they are that close!

Thanont Golf View & Sport Club

Thanont Golf View & Sports Club is situated on the outskirts of Bangkok and takes around 50 minutes to reach coming from downtown. Several large shopping malls in the area provide accompanying non-golfers have a variety of things to do. American golf course architect Bob McFarland designed the Thanont golf course. Water and a massive housing development surround the entire golf course and Thanont while flat has some exciting hole layouts.

The Royal Gems Golf & Sports Club

At Royal Gems Golf & Sports Club, designer Garry Roger Baird has built a 'gem' of a course equal to his others. These include the Shuzu course of the Shishido Kokusai Golf Club in Ibaraki, Japan, and the Hermitage Course, a permanent LPGA tournament site in the United States. Royal Gems Golf Club is one of only a handful of Thailand golf courses to be an official member of the United States Golf Association and certified for professional championships. The club hosted a European Seniors Tour event in 2009.

The Royal Gems Golf City - Dream Arena

The Royal Gems Golf City - Dream Arena is Asia's first replica course and combines nine of the best holes in the world with the back nine of Augusta National. Course designers have created the required extreme challenges and elevation changes from what was previously flattish farmland just outside Bangkok.

Vintage Golf Club

The Vintage Golf Club is one of Bangkok’s lesser-known layouts as its slightly further than the other more popular designs. The Vintage Club is 1 hour from downtown Bangkok past the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Thai PGA and Thai LPGA events staged at Vintage over the past years were all well received. Renowned US golf architect Arthur Hills designed Vintage, in fact, his only golf course in Thailand. The course retains many of the natural surroundings like marshes with reeds and multi-colored bougainvillea plants to give a countryside feeling rather than a golf course in the outskirts of Bangkok.

Wangnoi Prestige Golf & Country Club

Wangnoi Prestige Golf & Country Club location past the Don Mueang International Airport takes a little over 1 hour to reach from downtown Bangkok. The re-grassing of the former Muang Ake layout together with a clubhouse facelift and new management in 2018 makes Wangnoi Prestige a good choice for those looking for an above average Bangkok golf experience at a reasonable price.

Windsor Park & Golf Club

The Windsor Park Golf & Sports Club designed by Golfplan’s Ronald Fream & David Dale of the USA created this natural large park setting on the outskirts of Bangkok makes it ideal for golf visitors. With more than 6,000 colorful plants and trees, the play is relaxed and nature-oriented. Tree-lined fairways, greenside bunkers, sweeping creeks and ponds, and sloping greens exemplify the challenges at Windsor Park.
